NCDOT Developing State Trails Plan…taking surveys

Good Morning Everyone,

NCDOT is in the process of developing the Great Trails State Plan. The goal of this plan is to create a network of shared-use paths, trails and limited on-road connections, where off-road connections are not available. This system will support low-stress travel between county seats and/or other urban/town centers, state parks, recreation areas and state and national forests. The primary outcomes of this planning process will be a non-motorized network map that connects, to the extent possible, all 100 counties within North Carolina and an action-oriented network plan and 5-year implementation strategy.

As part of the plan, we ask that you PLEASE take the time to complete the plan survey.  Please also forward to this email to anyone else you think would be interested.

For more information on the process please visit the website: Great Trails State Plan.
