Hoke County Receiving Money from NC Budget

After the passage of the North Carolina State Budget, Hoke County is set to receive $15.7 million for infrastructure projects among other things.

The funding received will be used for the following…

$9.5 million – Raeford water/sewer infrastructure
$5 million – capital improvements and equipment
$1.2 million – water and sewer installation
$5 million – Hoke Native American Scholarship Association

Neighboring Scotland county also received $20 million for water and infrastructure.

Hoke’s delegation that voted for these budget items are Rep. Garland Pierce and Sen. Danny Britt.
