Follow the link regarding an article in the Sanford Herald on 2016 building permits. According to Market Edge trend report, quarterly residential and commercial building permits have increased from 2015.
The report states there were 94 new building permits in 2016, an increase from 74 in 2015. On the commercial side, 59 permits where issues in 2015 with an increase to 111 in 2016.
Comment from Mayor Chet Mann – “No one in the Triangle Region counties that we are compared with came anywhere close to the percentage growth that we had and are having.”
