(city memo)
The City of Fayetteville’s Environmental Services Department is still in the process of collecting limbs and branches from the recent ice storm that occurred January 22nd . Residents do not need to call in to schedule a pickup and are asked to leave debris at the curb. It is not known at this time how much debris will be curbside, so the department is not currently able to predict how long it will take to complete this round of limb collection. Crews will continue with the systematic collection plan that has been effective to date. The storm caused widespread areas to sustain heavy tree damages, leading to the slowed collection rate. All available equipment and staff have been assigned to expedite cleanup. Since Jan. 25, the city has collected 3,023.29 tons of debris.
